1200 e-file error
This error occurs when Form CIT-1, Line 35 total refund doesn't equal Line 33b plus Line 34. Adjust the overpayment application option to resolve this validation error.

Form CIT-1, line 35. Total refund must equal line 33b, overpayment refunded, plus line 34, total portion of tax credits to be refunded.
Solution
- In the lower member, go to .
- IfApply entire overpayment to estimate and credit excess to future yearsis selected, switch toApply amount of overpayment and refund excess.
- Enter the specific amount.
- Do a full recompute, reconsolidate the TopCon, then recreate the e-file.
Solution 2: If there's no overpayment
- SelectRefund Entire Overpaymentin all entities, including the Topcon.
- Do a full recompute, reconsolidate the TopCon, then recreate the e-file.
