Error: The field 'PIN' with value '0', data is missing

This validation error appears when the Practitioner PIN field contains an invalid value. The PIN must be a five-digit number.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Federal E-file
    Signature Authorization
    .
  2. In the
    Signature Option
    section, set the option to
    Form 8879 - Practitioner PIN
    .
  3. In the
    If "Form 8879 - Practitioner Pin" is Selected
    section, set the
    Pin Entered by
    box to any option other than
    Not Applicable
    .
  4. In the
    Pin Information Box
    , enter a five-digit ERO PIN.
  5. Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
