Electronic signature requirements for EFAST2 filings

Understand the electronic signature requirements for EFAST2 filings, including signer credentials and signature combinations for different forms.
Review the EFAST2 electronic signature requirements before you file.

EFAST2 signature credentials

EFAST2 assigns each signer two identifiers: a PIN and a User ID. Together, the PIN and User ID act as the user's electronic signature.

Required signatures

A filing may require as few as one or as many as 4 signatures from the following parties: Plan Administrator, Employer/Plan Sponsor, authorized service provider for eSignature, and/or Direct Filing Entities (DFE).
Form 5500-SF filings need to have a signature from either the Plan Administrator and/or the Employer/Plan Sponsor or authorized service provider.
note
If you serve as both the Plan Sponsor and the Plan Administrator, you only need to sign as the Plan Administrator on the Plan Administrator line.
