Restore or roll-back a locator to a prior version
Learn how a tax return can be rolled back to a prior version and what to consider before doing so.
Tax returns can be rolled back to a prior version by contacting support. A rollback resets the entire locator back to a specified date and time. There is no way to roll back just one portion of the return.
- Contact support to request a rollback.
- Specify the date and time to which the locator should be rolled back.
- Confirm with support that the entire locator (not just a portion of the return) will be reset to that version.
important
A rollback version is saved
only
when the locator checks in from the server. If you have been working in a return all day and want to roll back just 1 hour prior, this would not be possible. The only version available would be from before the locator was initially opened. Any data entry added since the locator was opened would be lost with a rollback.
