Transmittal letter form listing
The transmittal letter in tax applications reflects forms in print preview and allows customization of the forms listing through editing, insertion, deletion, or renaming options.
The transmittal letter is part of the letters and filing instructions module, and is currently available in the 1040, 1065, and 1120 tax applications. It's designed to reflect the forms that are in the current print preview, not what is turned on in the return.
For example, if only the New York return is being printed and not the federal return, the forms listing on the transmittal letter would only show the New York forms. If all returns are printed, the forms listing would reflect all forms that print, both federal and state.
There are also options to insert, delete, or rename any enclosed form listing.
