Validate XML file in Notepad for Return XML

If you haven't already, export tax return data in Returns Processing
, Import/Export
, Return XML Export
.

Go to XML Notepad and open the export file.

Select View
, and then Schemas
.

Select File
, then Add schedules...
and navigate to the *Schema.XSD file to open it.

Select OK
.

Any validation errors can be reviewed in the

Error List

window. These errors need to be resolved prior to import.
