Form 05-102, Public Information Report print requirements
Taxpayers should file Texas Form 05-102, Public Information Report when the entity's annualized total revenue is below the non tax due threshold: $2,470,000 for 2024. To Print the Texas Form 05-102, Public Information Report, check the following:
- Verify that the entity doesn’t have Severe diagnostics for Texas:
- Go to the menu, selectViewthenDiagnostics. Texas mandates that the state can’t print any forms when severe diagnostics are present. Clear any severe diagnostic errors that show for Texas.
- Go toOrganizer,States, thenCommon State.
- In theGeneral InformationthenBasic Return Informationfolder, select the tab forReturn Information.
- Make sure theColumn G, Final Returnfield is not selected for the Texas row.
- Go toOrganizer,States, thenCommon State.
- In the folderPrint Suppression, make sure the field in theState Formscolumn isn't selected for Texas.
- Go toOrganizer,States,Texas,General Information.
- Under theGeneral Informationsection, selectYESforCorporation, limited liability company, professional association, limited partnership, or financial institution,
- Verify that theThis entity does not have NEXUS in Texasfield isn't selected
- Verify thatThis entity is a disregarded entityisn't selected.
- In theNo Tax Due Reportsection, verify thePassive entity as defined in Chapter 171 of the Texas Tax Codefield isn't selected.
- Go to the sectionPayment of Tax During Preceding Tax Year (Mandatory)and make a selection other than Blank.
Manual Entering Multiple 05-102 Forms
The Public Information Report (05-102) and the Owner Information Report (05-167) can be added manually within a Single entity type return.
- Go toOrganizer,States,Texas.
- In theInformation Report - Manual Entryfolder, go to thePublic Information ReportandAdd New Taxpayer Name. This lets you make manual entries for the report. With information manually entered for one of the reports, a version of the report will print and e-file with that information to the exclusion of an automatically generated report.
- Under theOrganizer,States,Texas,Return Optionsfolder, go to thePrint Suppressionsection. Make sure theManual Entry Form 05-102field isn't selected.
