Tips for District of Columbia combined (and/or consolidated) returns
note
You can't consolidate Qualified High Technology Companies (QHTC).
- Make sure on the parent return you answer all of the questions on Form D-20, Page 6, under Supplemental Information.
- To generate the combined forms, go toOrganizer,States,State Combined Returns,Options for Combined States,District of Columbia, and selectEach member of the group contributes to the combined unitary income. SelectTransfer to ALL. To mark each entity individually, go toOrganizer,States,District of Columbia,Combined Return Information.
- The District of Columbia doesn't allow any adjustments or amounts in an elimination company for their Combined Schedule 2A Apportionment Factors Computation. However, they do allow intercompany transactions to be entered on a company-by-company basis. For each Parent and/or Subsidiary, enter applicable intercompany transactions for apportionment information inOrganizer,States,District of Columbia,Allocation and Apportionment, in the Intercompany Adjustments for Combined Returns section.
