Edit entities

You can add or edit the attributes of an entity in the Attributes by Applications section or the Attributes by Categories section.
  1. Sign in to ONESOURCE, then select
    Administration
    .
  2. Select
    Company Info
    , then
    Entities
    .
  3. Mark an entity checkbox, then select
    Edit
    . This opens the
    Attributes by Application
     tab. 
    1. This tab shows the applications and attributes connected with this entity. The attributes represent a subset of all the attributes of an entity, and are based on the importance of each application.
  4. Select
    Manage Apps
     to open the
    Manage Applications
     screen.
  5. Switch the applications that apply to this entity to green (Associated) or switch it OFF (Not Associated).
    1. Associated:
       Completed fields for an application, and the Entity enters a ready state can't be un-associated or deleted
    2. Not Associated:
       Application hasn’t been selected to be connected to an Entity yet.
    3. Association in progress:
       All needed fields aren't complete for that application to be in a ready state and can be un-associated.
  6. Select
    Apply
    . The
    Attributes by Applications
     tab shows the following information: 
    1. The status bar shows the percentage complete for this entity based on the application's requirements.
    2. When the status bar is green for an application it means the entity status is
      Ready
      .
    3. When the status bar is yellow for an application it means the entity status is
      Not Ready
      .
  7. Select
    Save
    .
  8. When adding or changing any attribute of an entity, you'll be asked if you want to edit the current version or create a new version.
    1. If you choose to
      Create a new version
      , you'll be asked to choose a new
      Entity Code
       (required) and provide a new
      Version Start Date
       (required) which is a new start date for the attributes of this version of the entity. The effective end date is calculated by the system as a day before the effective start date of a new version.
    2. If you choose to update the current version, you'll be taken back to the
      Attributes By Application
       tab.
    3. Select
      Okay
      .
  9. Select a specific version from the
    Version
     dropdown if an entity has more than one version to make changes.
    1. Select
      Save
      .
  10. Select the
    Attributes By Category
     tab to see the entity changes.
