Create Forms Cross-Reference Charts for State A&A Workpapers

The State Forms Cross-Reference Chart relates the amounts in the State A&A Workpapers to the amounts reported on an individual state tax return.
This provides an audit trail, which is beneficial after the tax return's been filed. Assigning user-defined subcategories to state tax return lines allows you to control how data's summarized on a state-by-state basis.
You must create a custom Forms Cross-Reference chart for each state (jurisdiction). This custom Forms Cross-Reference is the mechanism used to transfer the amounts from the state workpaper to the state tax return.
To create a Forms Cross-Reference Chart:
  1. Go to
    Charts
    ,
    State A&A
    , and then
    Forms Cross-Reference
    .
  2. Select the year.
  3. Select
    Add Chart
    .
  4. Enter the name and select the
    Jurisdiction
    .
  5. If copying from another forms cross-reference chart, select the chart from
    Copy from
    .
  6. Remove any selection from the items you want to exclude.
  7. Select the
    Suppress automatic tax return presentation
    toggle to un-assign categories.
  8. Select
    Create
    .
