About Divisional Consolidations

You can consolidate divisions using a typical consolidation method or the binder rollup method.

Typical Divisional Consolidation

This process combines the Organizer information for each division within the consolidated group which enables the system to prepare a consolidated tax return and supplemental schedules.
2 division binders with TAS data entry to Organizer. 1 elimination binder with TAS data entry to Organizer. All 3 of these going to the divisional consolidated binder.

Binder rollup method

This method combines the Tax Accounting System (TAS) data of the underlying divisions (which aren't legal entities) and then transfers the combined TAS data as if it's 1 legal entity to the consolidated Organizer.
With this method, there's no combined or consolidated reports in the Organizer. 
To activate binder rollup in a Divisional Consolidation, go to
Binder Properties
and select
Activate Binder Rollup
.
2 division binders with 1 elimination binder going to the divisional consolidated binder.
