E-file diagnostic: Each domestic partner must have an entry in the State field

Partner State OR Foreign Country: Each domestic partner must have an entry in the "State" field. Each foreign partner must have an entry in the "Foreign Country" field. Make an entry in the "State" OR "Foreign Country" field for Partner.
This happens when one or more partners are missing a partner number.

Solution 1

To check a specific partner:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Partner Information
    Partner by Partner Data
    .
  2. Select the
    Partner Name
    Partner Information
    Partner Information
     tab.
  3. Enter a number for
    Partner #
     (required).
  4. Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.

Solution 2

To check all partners:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Partner Information
    Partner by Partner Data
    Columnar Partner Entry
    .
  2. Select the
    Name and Address
     tab.
  3. In the
    Partner Information
     grid, all partners should have a number in the
    Partner Number
     column.
  4. Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
