Go to
Organizer
Partner Information
Partner by Partner Data
Columnar Partner Entry
Name and Address
tab.
Verify that each partner has a valid state abbreviation. Use the form line in the error message to identify the affected partner. For example,
IRS1065ScheduleK1[2]
identifies the 2nd partner.
For foreign partners, select any state and recompute, then select
None Selected
and recompute again.
If you're using Direct K-1 import, go to
Tax Forms
Federal
Direct K-1 Import
(partner name)
Import K1 Partner Information
, and correct the state code as needed.
Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
