This occurs when a PDF attached to the return has an improper file name or title that doesn't conform to IRS e-filing guidelines.

Zip Entry names must conform to the guidelines in Publication 4164.

, and review your PDF attachments against the following e-file requirements:

Shorten the attachment name to 23 characters or less.

Remove any spaces from the name.

Remove any special characters from the name.

Delete and reattach any PDFs whose names you changed.
