This error happens when Form PTE-C Page 1 Line 5d doesn't equal the sum of Lines 5a through 5c on an Alabama 1065 return.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States

    Credits
    Comp Payment/EPT - CP-B
    Summary
    . Mark the
    Carry Federal Pass-Through Name and ID
     checkbox.
  2. Do a full recompute.
  3. Go to
    Organizer
    Activity Information
    Pass-Through Entity
    NAME
    Pass-Through Entity Activity
    Tab K-1 Line
    Lines 1-15
    Line Type of entity
    .
  4. In the
    Type of entity (Alabama, California Pennsylvania returns only)
     field, select the type of entity (
    Partnership
    ,
    S Corporation
    , or
    Estate or Trust
    ).
  5. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Alabama
    Credits
    Comp Payment/EPT - CP-B
    Summary
    . Enter an amount in
    Column C
    .
  6. Perform a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
