2138 e-file error
2138: Total Other Subtractions from Partnership Income on Schedule B, Line B5 is incorrect. The sum of lines A through G does not match the amount in Line B5-H.
This happens when Schedule B line B5 doesn’t match Schedule B line H.
Solution
- Tax Forms, thenStates.
- SelectArizona, then165.
- Select the165, Page 2tab.
- Go to thePart 1 – Adjustment of Partnership income From Federal to Arizona Basisarea.
- Remember the amount on line B5.
- Then go to165, Page 6.
- Go toSchedule B. The amount on line H needs to match the amount on line B5.
- To adjust the amount, selectOrganizer, thenStates.
- SelectArizona, thenSchedule A.
- Go to theB5area.
- On the lineNegative Partnership income adjustment, enter the amount that was on line H so that line B5 will have the same amount.
- Run a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
