HIXML-001 e-file error
This error occurs when PDF attachment file names don't match Hawaii's required naming conventions.
Error message
The XML data has failed schema validation. The file name of supporting binary attachments must match their name in the XML file.
Solution
Hawaii requires specific file names for PDF attachments on e-filed returns. If those names aren't used, or if attachments are included when not required, the return will be rejected.
- Go to .
- Remove any incorrectly named attachments, rename the files that are needed, and reattach them.
- Do a full recompute, then recreate the Hawaii e-file and resubmit.
