Solution

In Organizer, select
Partner Information
Partner by Partner Data
Columnar Partner Entry
Reformat Partner Name for State Purposes
.
Locate the partner with the invalid middle initial value. Clear the number or special character, or change it to the correct alphabetic middle initial.
In the
Automatic Reformat - Partner Name
section, remove the middle initial from any partners that do not have an entity type of
Individual
Check
View
, then
Overrides
to make sure there isn't an incorrect name missed somewhere.
Recompute and recreate the e-file.
