ILK1P-500-2 e-file error

This error occurs when an entity is a partner or shareholder in another entity's return. The EIN of the entity issuing the K-1-P can't match the EIN of the entity receiving it.

Error message

SchILK1P Step 1 Line 3 cannot match FormILHEADER Filer/EIN, FormILESTATETRUSTHEADER Filer/EIN or SchILK1P Step 2 Line 7.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Illinois
    State Adjustments
    Pass Through Input
    Schedule K-1-P
    (Entity Name)
    Step 1 - Identify your partnership or S Corporation section
    Federal EIN
    .
  2. Compare the Federal EIN entered here to the EIN in
    Organizer
    General Information
    Basic Return Information
    Entity Information tab
    Entity Information section
    EIN
    .
  3. If the EINs match, correct the FEIN in Step 1.
  4. Run a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
