FormPTE-K1-E5 Subtractions e-file error
FormPTE-K1-E5 Subtractions: IF Schedule K-1 Part 3 column I line 1 or 2 is greater than zero AND Montana Adjustments Worksheet Part 1 and 2 is zero. You must complete the Montana Adjustments Worksheet in order to attribute adjustments to owners.
This happens when Schedule K-1, Part III, line 1 “Additions” or Line 2 “Subtractions” is greater than 0, but the Montana Adjustments Detail hasn’t been filled out.
Solution
- Go toTax forms,States, andMontana.
- SelectSchedule K-1andName of partner.
- Make a note of the amount present on Part III, line 1 and or line 2.
- Go toOrganizer,States, and theMontanafolder.
- SelectState adjustments, and theMontana Adjustmentstab.
- Enter amounts to support Schedule K1 Additions and or subtractions.
