Solution

Business rule 43159 requires: Allocation (Line 19b) + NonOpIncColBNJSource (Line 20b) + TotNonUniPartIncColBNJSource (Line 21b) = TotPartIncColBNJSource (Line 22b).
  1. Go to
    Tax Forms

    New Jersey
    NJ-1065
    NJ-1065, Page 2
    .
  2. On Line 19b, enter the percentage.
  3. Populate either Line 19b, 20b, or 21b so the sum equals Line 22b. Enter
    NONE
     on Line 19b if it applies.
  4. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    New Jersey
    Federal Overrides
     to populate Line 20 or 21.
  5. If Line 19b is correct, override either Line 21b or Line 22b. They can't be the same.
  6. Once they match, recompute the return, recreate the e-file, and resubmit.
