Error: Field ‘EntityApportionment’ cannot be empty

This error occurs when you e-file an Ohio IT 1065 return and the
EntityApportionment
field on Form OH IT K-1 is empty. This can happen when the apportionment ratios on related forms don't sum to 100% (1.00000), or when required fields on Form IT 4708 are incomplete.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Tax Forms
    States
    Ohio
    IT 4708
    4708, Page 4
    .
  2. Confirm that
    Line 45
    equals 100% (1.00000).
  3. Adjust the ratios on Lines 42c, 43, and 44 so that the 3 lines sum to 100%.
  4. Read the note following Line 45 for details.
  5. Alternatively, go to
    Organizer
    States
    Ohio
    IT 4708
    Allocation and Apportionment
    and enter apportionment.
  6. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

The corrected ratio appears on Form OH IT K-1 as the
Total apportionment ratio
