Common State E-file Alert: Please review and verify that the PIN is accurate and that the preparer is the registered owner of the PTIN.

This happens when the PIN is inaccurate or the preparer isn’t the registered owner of the PTIN.

In Tax Forms
, go to States
.

elect Common State
then General Information
.

Select Paid Preparer Information
, then go to Preparer Information
tab.

In Common State
row, PTIN
column enter the valid PTIN
number.

Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.
