F3-3K1 e-file error

This happens when first, middle, and last names are entered for partners that aren't individuals.

Error message

F3-3K1 PartnerSSN: Wisconsin Form 2K-1 Partner Information Individual missing PartnerSSN. Please check Partner id is the correct format xxx-xx-xxxx or if Partner Name should be formatted as an Individual.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Partner Information folder
    Partner by Partner Data
    Columnar Partner Entry
    Reformat Partner Name for State Purpose
    .
  2. Remove the
    First
    ,
    Middle
    , and
    Last Name
     from partners that aren't individuals.
  3. Go to the
    Name and Address
     tab.
  4. In the SSN/EIN column correct any SSN number format for partners that are “Individual”. Format the SSN as XXX-XX-XXXX.
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
note
  • If you are doing a K-1 aggregation or a Direct K-1 import then you will have to fix your file and re-import your file.
  • To see which partners are incorrectly formatted, check your Validation Errors by going to
    View
    , then
    Diagnostics
    . They will identify which partners are incorrectly formatted.
