Error: The field 'FilerEIN' with value, data is missing
This error occurs when Form 8858 FilerEIN field contains an invalid value instead of the required 9-digit format during e-file validation.

Solution 1: Enter EIN in Filer Information

- In the TopCon, go to .
- Right-click and Subview the8858field to see which members have 8858 data.noteForm 8858 is checked automatically and can't be unchecked.
- In the activated member, go to .
- Complete this section and make sure you include an EIN or selectApplied fororForeign.
- Do a full recompute for the member. Then reconsolidate the TopCon, and recreate the e-file.
Solution 2: Use Default Filer Information or Filer Information Overrides
- In the lower member, go to .
- Check the box forUse Default Filer Information, or make necessary entries in theFiler Information Overridessection.
- Do a full recompute at each member level, and reconsolidate at the DivCon,
- Reconsolidate the TopCon, and recreate the e-file.
Solution 3: Remove Form 8858 data if not needed
If Form 8858 shouldn't be populated:
- In the lower member, go to .
- Remove the data triggering the form.
- Reconsolidate the DivCon, then consolidate at the TopCon.
- Recreate the e-file.
