Error: Field 'FEIN' with value, data format is not correct

This error occurs when the Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) doesn't meet the required 9-digit format during California e-file validation.

Solution

  1. Go to
    Organizer
    States
    Common State
    General Information
    Basic Return Information
    Address tab
    .
  2. Enter the
    EIN
    .
    note
    The EIN needs to be 9 digits.
  3. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.
