Error: Field ‘LaIncomeTax’ with value, data format is not correct

This validation error occurs when the LAIncomeTax field contains a negative value. The Louisiana e-file schema requires this field to be blank or contain a positive number.

Solution

The LAIncomeTax field contains a negative value. The Louisiana e-file schema requires this field to be blank or positive.

  • CIFT-620, Page 12, Schedule F, Line 2a
  • CIT-620, Page 2, Line 1E
  • CIT-620, Page 15, Schedule H, Lines 1 and 2
  1. Go to

  2. Go to the form location identified in your error message.
  3. Enter a positive number or leave the field blank.
  4. If needed, enter the negative value as a positive number on a different line or schedule as directed by Louisiana tax rules.
  5. Do a full recompute, then recreate the e-file.

If you can't enter a positive value or leave the field blank, paper file the return.
