M4-0018 e-file error
Form M4, M8: If Preparer ID Number present then Preparer Phone Number, Preparer Name, and Prepared Date are required. (Automatic GOTO is not available.)
This happens when the paid preparer information is missing.
Solution
- Go toOrganizer,States,Common state, then theGeneral Informationfolder.
- SelectPaid Prepare Information, and go to thePreparer informationtab.
- In theMinnesotarow, make sure all the columns are populated.
- Do a full recompute and recreate the e-file.

If you are filling in from the Top Consolidation Locator, make sure the data is entered into all lower members. MN requires Paid Preparer information and can't be suppressed.
