502VK1-040 e-file error
This diagnostic incorrectly generates for C Corp returns when filing Virginia Form 502PTET with Pass-Through Entity Elective Tax Credit. The rule has been removed.
Error message
502VK1-040: If Form 502PTET is filed, and Form 502 Schedule VK-1 Part III, Line 10 (Pass-Through Entity Elective Tax Credit) is populated with a value greater than zero, Form 502 Schedule VK-1 Line b (Owner's entity type) must equal NON, RES, or TE.
Solution
This diagnostic was a system error. The rule was removed because it shouldn't generate in C Corp returns.

- If Line 10 is greater than 0, set Line b (Owner's entity type) to NON, RES, or TE.
- Run a full recompute on the return.
- Recreate the e-file.
