Error: The field IncomeOtherTaxBased with value -215000, data format is not correct
You get this error when a negative amount is entered for income taxes or taxes based on net income on the West Virginia return.

Solution
To report the same taxable income, remove the negative amount from additions and enter it as a positive subtraction for each entity affected.
- For each affected entity, open Form CNF-120, Page 4, Line 3. Use the subview from the TopCon to locate each subsidiary with a negative amount.
- Go to .
- Go toAdditions, then enterNONEforState income taxes based on gross/net income.
- UnderSubtractions, enter the amount that was previously reported on Page 4, Line 3 as a positive amount forRefund or credit of income taxes based upon net income (Override).
- Recompute each changed subsidiary and reconsolidate the TopCon return.
- Recreate the West Virginia e-file to clear the diagnostic.
