Attach the XIT file to a foreign tax credit top consolidation

This article only applies when attaching the XIT file to a Foreign Tax Credit top consolidation. The
Thomson Reuters International File
 screen is not available in any other type of 1120, 1120S, 1120L, or 1120PC binder.
To attach a
Thomson Reuters XIT file
 from a different
Foreign Tax Credit top consolidation
 to the e-file:
  1. Rename the file extension to
    .XIT
    .
  2. In the Foreign Tax Credit top consolidation in Organizer, select
    Federal E-file
    , then
    International
    .
  3. In the
    Thomson Reuters International File
     section, select
    Attach Thomson Reuters XIT File
    , then select
    Attach Thomson Reuters XIT File
    .
  4. Select
    Add
    .
  5. On line
    Attachment Jurisdiction
    , select
    International XML File
    .
  6. Select
    Browse
     and locate the file.
  7. Double-click on the XIT file.
  8. Select
    Upload
    .
  9. Repeat these steps for each XIT file.
  10. Select
    Done
    .
  11. After you attach the XIT files, double check the attachments by selecting
    Attached International XIT Files
    .
  12. In Organizer, select
    Federal E-file
    , then
    Create E-file
    , and select
    Create Domestic XDM File
    .
  13. Select
    Create Aggregated E-file
    .
    note
    The attachment will not be included until the e-file is created or created again.
