Workareas

Use Workareas to organize your desktop. A Workarea stores all the entities and binders for an organization or group of companies.

Create a new workarea

  1. On the All Binders screen, on the menu bar next to the
    Workarea
    dropdown, select
    Add Workarea
    .
  2. Enter the name of the new
    Workarea
    .
  3. Save
    .

Create multiple workareas

Repeat the process above to create multiple workareas. Multiple Workareas are typically created for the following scenarios:
  • Multiple office locations using the same ONESOURCE Income Tax account. Multiple workareas allows you to have different security options for each Workarea.
  • Organizing entity types such as 1065, 1120, foreign entities.
