Data integration with K-1 aggregator

This topic provides step-by-step instructions on how to import files into a tax application using the K-1 Aggregator.
  1. Open the exported Excel file created by the K-1 Aggregator.
  2. Verify the investment name and return ID.
  3. Enter the activity number for each investment. It needs to match what's in the tax return, or the import will fail.
  4. Select
    Create Import Files
    .
  5. Verify the information, and select
    OK
    .
  6. Select a folder path for saving the import files.
  7. Go to your preferred path and verify it.
  8. Verify that the selected cell is the last investment row.
  9. The K-1 Aggregator now imports the files. Select
    OK
    .
  10. If there are multiple tabs in the Excel file, verify that the selected cell is the last investment row for the next tab.
  11. The process is now complete. Select
    OK
    .
  12. Import the files using Data Connection.
  13. Import into the tax application
  14. Select
    Returns Processing
    , then
    Import/Export
    , then
    Import
    .
  15. The
    Data Connection Import
    screen defaults to the last used import type.
  16. Select the
    Import Type
    from the dropdown, the
    Account
    , the
    Year
    , and the
    Tax Type
    .
  17. Upload
    the file by selecting
    Browse for File
    or
    Dragging the file
    to the window. When the upload is complete, a green check indicates the file upload is complete.
  18. Select
    Next
    .
  19. Select
    Start Import Process
    .You'll see a new import page, showing the status of each import.
  20. Select
    Close
    to return to the main
    Import
    screen.
