Form 1040 instructions print requirements

Federal and state return filing instructions for Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, print when the Estimate and Extension Package Selection Option is not set to generate a batch package.
To print federal and state return filing instructions for Form 1040, U.S. Individual Income Tax Return:
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    Estimate and Extension Package
    Estimate and Extension Package
    .
  2. Change the
    Estimate and Extension Package Selection Option
     to
    Do Not Generate Batch Package
    .
  3. Go to
    Organizer
    Payments & Extensions
    Extensions
    General Options and Extension
     tab.
  4. Change the
    Extension Option
     to
    Not applicable
    .
  5. Change
    Extension Filing Instructions
     to
    Suppress extension instructions
     (this prevents extension filing instructions from printing in place of the regular return instructions).
  6. For states that print extension filing instructions instead of return filing instructions, go to
    Organizer
    Payments and Extensions
    Extensions
    State Options and Payments
     tab.
  7. Change the state extension option to
    5
     on the line for the state.
  8. Do a full recompute, then print.
