Create a map file
There are several methods you can use to create a map file.
You can:
- Create a new map
- Create a new map from an import file
- Export an existing map file
Create a map from an import file
- InONESOURCE Platform, select theMappingtile.
- Select theSource,Target, andYear.
- SelectExport Map Template.
- Select the type of map you want to create, and thenOK. The system creates a Microsoft Excel file called, Mapping_export.xlsx.
- Find the exported file and rename it.
- Open the spreadsheet and update it with your information, then save it.
- Next, import the file inMappingby going toMaps,New, and thenCreate New Map.
- Enter a map name and description.
- Select the map type, and thenSave.
- Select your import file, and thenImport.
- SelectYesto when prompted that the import will re-map all items in the new map.
- SelectYesto view the log file after the import's completed.
- SelectSaveto complete the mapping process.
Create a map from an export file
- InONESOURCE Platform, select theMappingtile.
- Select theSource,Target, andYear.
- On theMapsscreen, select an existing map, andOpen.
- SelectExport. The system creates a Microsoft Excel file of the mapping which you can save and use with your own information.
- SelectSave.
