About Organizer
The Organizer is the central data entry point for a tax return. Entering data in Organizer forms ensures that all values transfer to the correct lines, schedules, and forms throughout the return.
Data entry and proforma
Organizer forms are designed to streamline data entry. All data entered in the Organizer automatically transfers to the correct locations throughout the return. Prior-year information is proforma'd into the Organizer at the start of each tax year, reducing the need to re-enter unchanged data.
Mandatory fields
Some fields are required to complete a form. These mandatory fields are clearly marked on the screen. Complete all mandatory fields before entering data in other fields on the same form.
Repeating data groups
When a line item requires supporting detail, the Organizer provides a repeating data group. You can insert or delete rows anywhere within the group to control the order of your data. The group total calculates automatically and transfers to the correct forms and schedules. The detail prints as a white paper statement attached to the return.
