Organizer Spreadsheets
You can now enter data for federal and state e-file, as well as required state input items, in spreadsheet format in our tax applications. The spreadsheets allow you to review the data without having to go to individual federal or state Organizers.
The spreadsheets show protected rows for federal information that you've previously entered. If you wish to override any of the protected information carried to the individual states, you can do so in the individual state row below the protected areas. We used the following guiding principles to determine if an existing field in an individual jurisdiction moved into the spreadsheets.
- State general information fields will exist either inCommon Stateor within the jurisdiction, but not both locations.
- If the data entry field is specific to a particular jurisdiction, it will remain inStates > [State Name] > General Information.
- Data entry fields which pertain to return and/or compute options are now located in[State Name] > Return Options.
- General Information data entry fields that require dollar values are now located in the state Organizer screens that pertain to those amounts, such as credits.

Each tax application has two to three spreadsheets for federal/state e-file as well as three to six Common State spreadsheets. Each spreadsheet has its own Organizer screen.
