Add a mapping
For each mapping, you can configure fields in these ways:
- Select which fields get included and in what order
- Set default values to apply if the field's blank
- Set values to use for testing your mapping
- SelectCompanyand then select the company this mapping's for.
- Select the service type, service name, and service operation.
- Enter a name for the mapping.
- Select eitherINPUTorOUTPUT.
- Select the input or output field you want included.noteYou can filter the list by entering text in the field. You can also use wildcards at the beginning and end of the string you enter. For example, if you enter "audit," you'll get "INVOICE.ISAUDITED" and "INVOICE.ISAUDITUPDATE."
- Go to Source Position and:
- On the INPUT tab, enter the position of the input field in the data source.
- On the OUTPUT tab, enter the position of the output field in the output file. This number must be unique.
- Go toDefault Valueand enter text in theDefault Valuefield for any fields where you want a default value.
- Go toTest Valueand enter text in eachTest Valuefield where you want a value for passing with a test. These values are also included in the file generated when you export a mapping.
- Go toSettingsand enter use credentials and if needed, edit the default file properties for this mapping.
- And lastly, save the mapping by usingSaveorSave and generate properties. This 2nd option saves a copy of the mapping file and the test data to both the database and your local machine.
