About the dashboard

This information provides a summary of the Determination Anywhere (DA) dashboard, the central screen for monitoring DA instances.
The dashboard lets you take administrative actions and open detailed views for instances, hubs, pods, and errors. Go to
Determination Anywehre
Dashboard
to view the status of DA instances.

What is an instance?

An instance is a deployment of the DA tax engine and its supporting components, such as the synchronization module. For example, a cloud environment hosting DA counts as 1 instance. A physical store running DA on a local server counts as another instance. Make sure to assign a meaningful name to each instance to ensure clear identification on the dashboard.
What you see on this screen depends on your account's configuration:
  • DA Not Enabled:
The screen shows a message that directs you to contact your administrator.
  • DA Enabled (No Instances):
The screen shows a message that indicates no instances exist and directs you to more information.
  • DA Enabled (With Instances):
The screen shows a powerful grid view that lets you monitor, search, and sort active instances.

Functionalities and processes

The different views explain the dashboard’s functionality.

This view lists all DA instances.
  • Search for an instance:
Use the search bar preceding the grid to find a specific instance. The grid filters as you type and shows only matching names.
  • Go to details:
The grid uses hyperlinks that take you directly to detailed information screens.
    • Select an instance name to open the
      DA instance details
      window.
    • Select a hub name to open the
      Hub Details
      screen.
    • Select a
      Pods
link (for example, 22 pods) to open the
      Pods Details
      screen within the instance window.
    • Select the error link in the Status column (for example, 2 errors) to open the
      Errors
      screen.
  • Paginate through instances:
If the screen shows several instances, pagination controls appear. Use them to move between pages or change how many items are shown per page.
