Exemption certificate isn't being applied

Review this list to ensure your exemption certificate is set up correctly.
  • Verify that you're passing the exact customer name and number that's set up in the exemption certificate. Look for leading zeros or spaces.
  • Go to Menu, System, Companies, and then Company Preferences to verify your company has the Uses Exemption Certificates option selected. Also, verify that you have the correct Active Exempt Cert Customer Group specified.
  • Confirm you've select Fully Exempt within the certificate setup. You can confirm your certificate gets set up for the location in which the transaction is applying tax.
