Review product classification results

The system displays classification data for each processed product record after classification, whether you perform it individually or in bulk.
  1. Review AI-generated suggestions: Each AI-generated suggestion includes the following details:
    1. Commodity code:
       This code refers to the U.S. commodity codes managed within Determination tax content, based on UNSPSC standards.
    2. Similarity score (percentage):
       In some cases, the system displays a similarity score. This indicates how closely each suggestion matches your entry, based on the AI's evaluation.
    3. TR commodity code category:
       This defines the category for the commodity code.
    4. TR commodity code definition:
       This explains how the system defines the commodity for ONESOURCE Indirect Tax content.
    5. Commodity code taxability:
       This table view shows the taxability in each state.
  2. Select a commodity code. Currently, you'll need to select the suggestion manually that matches your product based on the information.
    1. Select
      Choose
       next to the best result.
    2. Review your selection on the
      Confirm Your Selection and Rationale
       screen.
    3. Optionally, enter a rationale explaining your choice (up to 500 characters).
    4. Select
      Save
       to record your selection.
  3. Enter a Commodity Code Manually: Before proceeding, we recommend re-entering the product description and other entry details to give the system another opportunity to generate relevant suggestions.
    1. If AI-generated suggestions are not satisfactory, select
      Enter Commodity Code
      .
    2. Manually enter the TR commodity code and provide a rationale for your selection. The system automatically validates the format of the code.
    3. Select
      Save
      .
  4. Manage commodity code actions: Use the
    Commodity code actions
     section to enhance functionality for managing the classification list:
    1. Apply selected commodity codes:
       Assign suggestions to one or more records simultaneously.
    2. Manually enter commodity code:
       Enter a TR code and rationale for one or more records.
    3. Delete entry:
       Remove one or more records from the classification list.
