New features
GET Application Messages (5851510)
A new web service endpoint is available to retrieve application messages, either the standard messages or the messages customized for a company. This enables users to find the messages that can be customized and to review and validate existing customizations, supporting subsequent configuration. The isCustomApplicationMessage query parameter selects which kind of message is returned: standard messages by default, or the company's customized messages when set to true, in which case the company externalId is required.
GET Application Messages Detail (5851511)
A new web service endpoint is available to retrieve the details of a specific application message customized for a company, including the original standard message. This enables users to compare a customization with the standard message and to validate it before updating or deleting it.
POST Application Messages (5851513)
A new web service endpoint is available to create application messages for a company in a single batch request, up to 50 records per request. This enables users to customize the title, description, cause, required action, and severity of standard messages programmatically and at scale. A customized message replaces the standard message for that company only, and the entire request is rejected if any record fails validation.
PATCH Application Messages (5851514)
A new web service endpoint is available to update an application message customized for a company. This allows users to keep the title, description, cause, required action, and severity current as business requirements change over time. Only the company's own customized message is updated; standard messages are never modified.
DELETE Application Messages (5851515)
A new web service endpoint is available to delete an application message customized for a company, after which the standard message applies again. This allows users to return a company to the standard message when a customization is no longer needed. Because the standard severity applies again, results for transactions can change; audit data of past transactions is not removed.
GET Date Determination Logic (5811970)
A new web service endpoint is available to retrieve the list of date determination logic expressions configured for a company. This enables users to review existing logic before configuring or referencing it in date determination rules.
POST Date Determination Logic (5811971)
A new web service endpoint is available to create date determination logic expressions for a company in batch. This enables users to define reusable date calculation formulas programmatically and at scale, which date determination rules can then reference. A name, expression, and description are required for each record, and a name must be unique within the company.
PATCH Date Determination Logic (5811972)
A new web service endpoint is available to update the name and description of a date determination logic expression. This allows users to keep their date determination configuration current as business needs change. The expression itself cannot be changed after creation; to change it, delete and recreate the logic expression.
DELETE Date Determination Logic (5811973)
A new web service endpoint is available to delete a date determination logic expression. This enables users to remove logic that is no longer needed from their configuration, ensuring complete data integrity by cascading the deletion to all date determination rules that reference it.
GET Date Determination Rules (5811974)
A new web service endpoint is available to retrieve the list of date determination rules configured for a company. This enables users to review and validate how transactions are matched to date determination logic, supporting subsequent configuration.
POST Date Determination Rules (5811975)
A new web service endpoint is available to create date determination rules for a company in batch. This enables users to efficiently configure which date determination logic applies to which transactions, programmatically and at scale. Each rule references an existing date determination logic expression for the company, and a rule may specify an authority type or an authority, but not both.
PATCH Date Determination Rules (5811976)
A new web service endpoint is available to update a date determination rule. This allows users to adjust a rule's matching criteria or evaluation order as tax requirements change, keeping their date determination configuration current. Updates that would create an overlap with another rule for the same company are rejected.
DELETE Date Determination Rules (5811977)
A new web service endpoint is available to delete a date determination rule. This enables users to remove matching criteria that are no longer required from their date determination configuration.
GET Vendors (List) (5764320)
A new web service endpoint is available to retrieve the list of vendors configured for a company. This enables users to review and validate vendor information, including trusted vendor and operating license settings, for use in downstream Vendor Charged Tax Verification (VCTV) configuration. The response includes the full details of each vendor, such as name, number, trusted vendor settings, business address, contact information, and notes.
POST Vendors (5764321)
A new web service endpoint is available to create vendors for a company in batch. This enables users to efficiently configure vendor records, including trusted vendor status and business and contact details, programmatically and at scale. If any vendor in the batch fails validation, the entire batch is rejected and no vendors are created.
PATCH Vendors (5764322)
A new web service endpoint is available to update a vendor for a company. This allows users to keep vendor configuration, including vendor number, trusted vendor status, and contact details, current as business relationships change over time. A vendor cannot be moved to a different company, and a vendor number must remain unique within the company.
DELETE Vendors (5764323)
A new web service endpoint is available to delete a vendor for a company. This enables users to remove vendor records that are no longer needed.
PATCH Companies (5872553)
A new web service endpoint is available to update a company and its configuration details, changing only the settings that need to be modified. This allows users to update items such as a single company admin option, a group owner, or a data provider without resending the complete company record. Settings and list items that are not included in the request are preserved, while the existing PUT service continues to replace the entire company configuration.
Fixes
Exemption Certificate Last Modified Update Issue (5862256)
An issue was reported where the Last Modified values of an exemption certificate were not updated when certain certificate values were changed through the API, even though the changes themselves were applied correctly. This issue has been resolved, and the Last Modified fields now reflect these changes correctly.
