Determination Anywhere 2026.05 second patch release notes

Please review this release note in conjunction with the Determination Enterprise Cloud release notes, which outline key updates to the core application. These include enhancements to the tax engine logic, regulatory compliance improvements, UI feature upgrades, and may also highlight defect resolutions and known issues – all of which directly impact the tax engine's functionality within Determination Anywhere (DA).
Please also refer to the statement in the main release note regarding how security vulnerabilities in the DA client‑side application are addressed.

Release highlights

This patch fixes issues identified on the DA Mothership side causing tax calculation issues.

Fixes

The following topics outline issues identified that have been resolved in this release.
Exemption Certificate not applied consistently (5790590)
An intermittent issue was identified where exemption certificates were not consistently applied to eligible transactions, resulting in incorrect tax calculations where tax was assessed when an exemption should have been honored.
The issue was isolated to a specific scenario in which an exemption certificate was deleted through APIs and a similar exemption certificate was subsequently recreated. Under these conditions, cache generation for the affected dataset on the DA Mothership could fail silently without generating alerts, causing outdated exemption data to be used during tax calculations.
Enhancements have been made to improve cache generation reliability and data integrity by improving error handling to prevent incomplete cache files from being generated, enhanced detection and reporting of cache generation failures to ensure issues are identified and addressed promptly, additional fail-safe mechanisms to prevent incomplete or corrupted cache data from being used during tax calculations.
This fix is implemented entirely on the DA Mothership side. No DA client upgrade or customer action is required.
Tax Content version reversion in Production (5791009)
An issue was identified where U.S. tax content in DA Production environments could intermittently revert to a previously deployed version. Under specific circumstances, the latest tax content could be replaced by an older version due to a cache synchronization issue, resulting in inconsistent content availability across environments and potential discrepancies in tax calculation results.
Enhancements have been implemented to improve cache generation reliability and ensure content version consistency.
This fix is implemented entirely on the DA Mothership side. No DA client upgrade or customer action is required.
