Determination Anywhere 2025.04.05 hot fix release notes

Read this release note alongside the Determination release notes, which give updates to the core tax engine, which includes logic modifications and regulatory adjustments. These updates extend to the tax engine within Determination Anywhere.

Release highlights

This patch resolves few critical issues identified in the Determination Enterprise Cloud and Determination Anywhere applications.

Fixes

DA Config Sync – Streaming Issue (1791081)
Configuration updates made in the Enterprise Cloud (EC) Determination application were successfully applied in EC but did not reflect in Determination Anywhere (DA), even after more than a day. Upon investigation, the issue was traced to a flaw in the configuration streaming sync process – specifically its handling of changes within existing configurations, such as adding a new condition to an ERP Code Mapping and reordering conditions before saving. Notably, the reconciliation process on the DA client – which typically initiates a full sync when streaming inconsistencies are detected – also failed to catch this issue.
The root cause has now been addressed by fixing the streaming sync mechanism. This resolution has been extended to all IDT configuration areas where condition reordering is used, including Conditional Mapping, Allocations, Rules, and Rule Qualifiers. It’s important to note that the TransEditors feature is not impacted by this issue, as its configuration updates are processed differently from the other features mentioned.
Standard Content Update Issue (1786881 & 1792852)
This issue is associated with the ticket referenced in the Determination Enterprise Cloud 2025.04 hotfix release notes. As part of the fix, the configuration sync components utilized by Determination Anywhere (DA) must also be updated. This update requires a new version of DA to ensure that standard content changes are properly synchronized to the DA Client. This synchronization is essential for accurate tax calculations performed by the DA tax engine.

Known issues

Config Sync Streaming Issue – Filter Conditions (1797266)
As part of the correction for issue 1791081 a known issue has been identified affecting the maintenance of filter conditions within the following configurations – ERP Code Mapping, Conditional Mapping, Allocations, Rules, and Rule Qualifiers When conditions are added, reordered, deleted, or modified in combination – and then the record is saved – the synced data in DA may not reflect the correct order as displayed in the Determination screen.
This issue is scheduled to be resolved in the next major release of DA. Until the fix is released, the best practice when making condition changes via the Determination UI is to save after each individual action. For example, if you intend to add a new condition, delete an existing condition, and reorder the new condition to the top, then follow the below steps:
  • add the new condition -> click Save.
  • delete the desired condition -> click Save
  • reorder the conditions -> click Save
Saving after each step ensures that the condition order is correctly maintained in DA.
