This update improves the VAT Group Registration logic by adding approximate matching for Customer Name, so the correct VAT Group registration is automatically applied, aligning with Determination Original behavior for enhanced transaction processing.
Reverse-From-Total: Error with Graduated/Tiered Fees (1784272)
This update enables reverse-from-total computations with graduated or tiered fees to be processed correctly and eliminates server errors related to these calculations. The release addresses a NullPointerException (NPE) and an internal server error that occurred during reverse-from-total tax calculations for U.S. intrastate transactions where fees are configured with graduated or tiered rates.
Reverse-From-Total: Taxable Basis with Tiered Rates (1758440)
For reverse-from-total transactions which return a tax result using a tiered or graduated tax rate, the taxable basis amount is now correct, ensuring that the gross amount and tax amount are accurately calculated. In previous versions, specific transactions utilizing a tiered or graduated rate experienced an incorrect calculation of the taxable basis, resulting in errors in both the gross and tax amounts.
EU Intracommunity Acquisition of Goods (1754591)
For an EU to Non-EU acquisition of goods transaction where the seller is registered in the Ship From (EU member state), the buyer is NOT registered in the Ship To (non-EU country), and the Buyer Primary location includes a valid buyer registration in an EU member state, without forming a chain transaction, Determination now returns the correct authorities, excluding the authority for the Ship To location. In previous versions, Determination incorrectly returned Input and Output tax results in the Ship To location.
Poland Registration Without Country Prefix (1735186)
Determination now interprets Polish registration numbers both with and without the prefix, ensuring correct reverse charge determination in intracommunity cases. This release addresses an issue in which Business-to-Business (B2B) services transactions with a seller registered in an EU member state and a buyer registered in Poland resulted in incorrect tax results when the Polish registration number was provided without the country prefix (PL).
Reports & Analytics: Destination Seller and Seller Operating License Data (1774754)
For oil and gas related transactions, Determination now records both Destination Seller and Seller Operating License information, including License_type, License_number, and Role fields, to support data correctness in the Reporting and Analytics feature. This update is designed to display the applied licenses (Buyer, Seller, and Destination Seller) for motor fuel authorities.
Vendor Charged Tax (VCT): Line Gross Amounts Sum to Zero (1703160)
Logic has been enhanced to safely handle Zero Gross amounts for VCT transactions. In previous versions, when the total gross amount of all line items was zero, a division-by-zero (Arithmetic Exception) occurred during tax calculation, causing the tax calculation to fail.
Reverse-from-Tax: Colorado RDF Calculations Successful for REST Tax Calc API (1724866)
The REST Tax Calculation API now correctly processes reverse-from total tax calculations for Colorado Retail Delivery Fee (RDF) without returning a 500 Internal Server Error, resolving issues present in the previous version.
Performance Improvement when Lookup Lists Contain Large Number of Values (1743283)
Determination has been optimized to deliver faster response times when processing Lookup Lists containing a substantial number of values with a Rule Qualifier. Prior releases experienced slower tax calculation responses for certain users as a result of extensive evaluation of the Rule Qualifier condition sequence.
Tax Jurisdictions: Start and End Date for the Year 1900 (1803481)
Tax Jurisdictions can now be successfully configured and viewed with a Start Date set to 1900. Previously, Determination did not allow adding or editing Tax Jurisdiction Start or End Dates set to this year in the user interface.
Certificate Manager: Export Certificates to Excel (1754877)
With Certificate Manager, you can now efficiently export exemption certificates to Excel, enhancing workflow, reporting, and analysis while ensuring reliable performance across all US states and certificate types. This update resolves a previous issue that prevented the successful export of exemption certificates to Excel, which had caused failures when downloading certificate data.
Licenses: Customer Name Undefined When Creating License Entry (1775092)
You can now view associated customer information when adding a Customer to a License, ensuring accurate identification and simplifying license management. Previously, customer names appeared as Undefined after addition, leading to missing or incorrect information.
Standard Mapping: Product Search (1777564)
Standard Mappings now allow you to efficiently find products using search criteria, making product mapping faster and simplifying category configuration for tax determination. Previously, searches by commodity codes, category names, or descriptions returned no results, even when matching products existed.
Customers: City Address Field Now Accepts Spaces (1754644)
With the Customers feature, Determination now lets you enter City names with spaces for accurate customer addresses. Previously, the city field did not accept spaces, so names like New York had to be entered as New York.
World Map Correctly Displays Established Countries (1738860)
The world map on Determination’s main page now accurately shows all the countries where the Company has establishments, ensuring consistency for presentations and system checks. Previously, the Czech Republic was not highlighted on the map despite being enabled in the Tax Jurisdictions feature.
Oil and Gas: Both Bottom-Up and Terminating Zone Indicators are Enabled for Motor Fuel Transactions (1698655)
For motor fuel transactions, Determination now correctly displays each tax authority only once, ensuring accurate and clear tax determination regardless of Zone logic combinations. Previously, Determination was incorrectly returning duplicate tax authorities for motor fuel transactions. This problem occurred when both Zone, Bottom-Up and Terminating indicators were enabled for a specific US postal or geographic code.
Brazil: Reduction % Field Now Available Only for Basic Rate Type (1737481)
On the Custom Rate and Fee user interface page, the Reduction % field is now only available when the Rate Type is Basic. In a previous version, the Reduction % field was incorrectly available for use with all Rate Types.
Brazil: Taxable Basis for CBS Authority (1743813)
Determination now calculates the correct taxable basis for the CBS authority for Brazil transactions. In a previous version, Determination was calculating an incorrect taxable basis for the CBS authority for intrastate resale inclusive transactions that involved CEST and the Alternative company option.
Custom Rule: Full Name of Rate and Fee Code Not Displayed (1563784)
When managing a Custom Rule, selecting a Rate or Fee Code currently does not show both the short codes and full descriptions (e.g., “RR - Reduced Rate”; only “RR” is displayed). A future enhancement will provide clearer tax rule configuration, ensure consistency across Standard and Custom authorities, and remove the need to remember code definitions, while preserving all core functions of custom rule creation and management.
Currency Rule: Minimum Accountable Unit Permits Values Exceeding 1 (1742158)
With the latest update to the Currency Management feature in Determination, users are now able to enter values greater than 1 in the Minimum Accountable Unit field while creating or editing a Currency Rule. In earlier versions, the system restricted entries to a maximum value of 1 and displayed error messages if that limit was exceeded.
