UAT patch release notes for version 2026.5
UAT EMEA/MENA Patch Release Date: September 03, 2026
UAT AMER Patch Release Date: September04, 2026
What's new
Custom Rule: Basis Percentage now evaluated with Inclusive Tax Indicator (5752768)
Determination now correctly evaluates the Basis Percentage on a Custom Rule when the Inclusive Tax Indicator is set to true. This applies whether the indicator is passed at the line or invoice level, through an Inclusive Tax calculation method, or via an inclusive authority type on the request. Previously, the Basis Percentage was not evaluated in this scenario, and tax was calculated against the full gross amount.
What's fixed
SOAP Tax Calc: Trailing zero formatting now consistent in decimal values (5747798)
SOAP service responses now display tax decimal values with consistent trailing zero formatting. Previously, trailing zero formatting was inconsistent, though calculated tax amounts were unaffected.
Unified Logging: Info-level messages restored after tax calculation (5468332)
Determination now logs info-level messages to Unified Logging following a tax calculation. Previously, this logging was disabled as part of a 'DET 2026.05 UAT release' change that has since been reverted.
Exemption Certificates: Certificates now correctly applied for tiered rate authorities (5748982)
Determination now correctly applies exemption certificates to authorities using a tiered rate structure. Previously, a 'DET 2026.05 UAT release' change caused valid exemption certificates to be ignored for these authorities, resulting in overtaxed transactions.
Known issues
Reverse Calculation: Tiered rate authority tier identification reverted (5164848)
Reverse calculations for authorities with an exempt lower tier and a taxable higher tier, such as MA – State Sales/Use Tax, again identify the exempt tier and return a tax amount of zero. This tier-identification fix has been reverted after it caused valid exemption certificates to be ignored for other authorities, and a permanent fix is planned for a future release.
