Reports and analytics 2025.09 release notes

Release highlights

ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Reports and Analytics version 2025.09 introduces the following enhancements and bug fixes:
  • New ‘Authority Configuration’ report added.
  • New column ‘Tax Amount Rounded’ added to ‘ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Compliance Sales & Use Details.’
  • New columns added to ‘Custom report’ and ‘Custom report – Additional fields.’
  • Enhancement of authentication and authorization service.

Enhancements

The following topics describe the new features added to this release:
New "Authority Configuration" report added
 (1026229, 1026210, 1705279, 1703392, 1768311,1795800, 1809022, 1800201)
A new "Authority Configuration" report has been added to the Reports & Analytics platform under the Configuration reports section. This report provides comprehensive visibility of your custom configurations related to Standard tax authority’s rules, and rates.

This feature is available upon request. To enable it for your tenant, submit a case to the support team.
Key features:
  • The Authority Configuration report consists of two sub-reports: Rules for Authorities and Products Sub-Report’ and ‘Rates for Authorities Sub-Report’
  • Access Control: Only Users with a ‘Report Admin' role can view this report
  • Available Options: View full report, Export, and Schedule functionality

New column added to ONESOURCE Tax Sales and Use Details report
 (1788968, 1763091, 1745710)
A new column, the Tax Amount Rounded' was added to ‘ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Sales and Use Details Report (column available in Edit mode only) which will display the amount of tax, rounded, in the document currency.
Key updates:
New Column Added: Users can now add a new Tax Amount Rounded column to the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Sales and Use Details report (available in ‘Measures’) in Edit mode.

Users will not be able to add this field as a filter in Edit mode due to certain design restrictions.
Existing saved reports:
  • Users with existing saved reports who want to include the new Tax Amount Rounded column will need to use a new template and add this field as a column to access the new information.
  • As a best practice we recommend using a new template, as all future updates will be applied to it.

New columns added to custom reports for Brazil-specific authorities
 (1728819,1728820,1728821,1725480)
The Custom Report and Custom Report – Additional fields report now includes additional columns applicable for Brazil-specific authorities:
  • Effective Rate
  • Percentage Rate Reduction
  • Full Tax Authority Amount
  • Full Tax Authority Unrounded Amount
  • Full Tax Document Amount
  • Full Tax Document Unrounded Amount
  • Reduced Tax Authority Amount
  • Reduced Tax Authority Unrounded Amount
  • Reduced Tax Document Amount
  • Reduced Tax Document Unrounded Amount
New Columns Added:
You are now able to add these new columns to the Custom Report and Custom Report – Additional fields report. To add this new field, place the report into Edit mode and customize the view by incorporating it as a column or filter.
Existing Saved Reports:
If you have an existing saved Custom Report and Custom Report – Additional fields report, to include this new column you will need to use a new template and add the field as column.
We recommend using a new template, as all future updates will be applied to it.

Fixes

Improving the security of authentication and authorization services

The following steps were taken to improve the security of Authentication and Authorization Services:
  1. We have enhanced the Reports and Analytics components by implementing improved authentication and authorization services. This ensures that every request is validated against the authenticated user, tenant, and platform token, helping to detect and prevent session conflicts.
  2. Access has been limited to only the Reports and Analytics Dashboard during the deployment window as part of our structural updates.
  3. The user interface now features updated messages to keep customers better informed about maintenance periods and application deployment activities.
