Authority configuration report
"Authority Configuration" report provides comprehensive visibility into standard tax authority rules, rates, and configurations across different jurisdictions and products.

This report will only be available for standard authorities (Custom Rates and Rules) and not Custom Authorities.
Key features
- The Authority Configuration report consists of two sub-reports: ‘Rules for Authorities and Products Sub-Report’ and ‘Rates for Authorities Sub-Report.’
- Access Control: Only Users with 'Report Admin' role can view this report.
- Available Options: View full report, Export, and Schedule functionality.

Custom Authority Flag | Indicates whether the authority is a custom authority or not. |
Authority Type | The type of authority. Returned value is one of City Rental, City Sales/Use, County Rental, County Sales/Use, District Rental, District Sales/Use, EXC, State Rental, State Sales/Use (US). Product and Services | The product and services associated with the product group of the authority for which data is being returned. |
Product Group | Identify 1 of these sources of product group depending upon the company setup: Brazil, Canada, Harmonized, Independent, India GST, Non-Harmonized, and US. |
Company Name | Lists all companies in the database that are available to the current user. |
Creation Date | The creation date for rules |
Rule Order | Rule order must be unique for an authority. |
Cascading | Indicates if cascading |
Rate Code | Rates and Fees associated with this authority rule. |
No Tax | Indicates that no tax is charged for this rule. |
Exempt | Indicates full exemption. |
Tax Type | Tax types associated with the authority's Tax Data provider |
Start Date | Start date selected |
End Date | End date selected |
Exempt Reason Code | Indicates if a rule was created with an exempt reason code. |
Basis Percent | The Basis percent that applies to the rule. |
Input Recovery Percent | The percentage of tax eligible for VAT recovery when this rule is applied. |
Input Recovery Amount | The amount of tax eligible for VAT recovery when this rule is applied. |
Rule Comment | The rule comment or description of the rule for which data is being returned. |
