Dynamic date range functions when scheduling a report

When you create a report, you get the option of using dynamic date ranges instead of typing in a specific date or selecting a date from the calendar. The date values will then function dynamically based on the current date.
A dynamic date range can be calculated based on these timeframes relative to the current date:
  • Days
  • Weeks
  • Months
  • Quarters
  • Semi (semi-annual, 6 months)
  • Years

Dynamic date range examples

Day
The current day, starting at 00:00:00, ending at 23:59:59.
Day-1
Yesterday, starting at 00:00:00, ending at 23:59:59.
Day+1
Tomorrow, starting at 00:00:00, ending at 23:59:59.
Week
This week, starting on Monday 00:00:00, ending on Sunday 23:59:59.
Week-2
2 weeks ago, starting on Monday 00:00:00, ending on Sunday 23:59:59.
Week+1
Next week, starting on Monday 00:00:00, ending on Sunday 23:59:59.
Month
The current month, starting on the first day of the month at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the month at 23:59:59.
Month-2
2 months ago, starting on the first day of the month at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the month at 23:59:59.
Month+3
3 months from now, starting on the first day of the month at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the month at 23:59:59.
Quarter
This quarter, starting on the first day of the quarter at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the quarter at 23:59:59.
Quarters are the 4 calendar quarters:
  • January 1 to March 31
  • April 1 to June 30
  • July 1 to September 30
  • October 1 to December 31
Quarter-1
1 quarter ago, starting on the first day of the quarter at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of quarter at 23:59:59.
Quarter+1
Next quarter, starting on the first day of the quarter at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of quarter at 23:59:59.
Semi
The current semi-annual six-month period, starting on the first day of the semi-annual period at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the semi-annual period at 23:59:59.
The 2 semi-annual 6-month periods:
  • January 1 to June 30
  • July 1 to December 31
Semi-3
3 semi-annual six-month periods ago, starting on the first day of the semi-annual period at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the semi-annual period at 23:59:59.
Semi+2
2 semi-annual six-month periods from now, starting on the first day of the semi-annual period at 00:00:00, ending on the last day of the semi-annual period at 23:59:59.
Year
The current year, starting on January 1, 00:00:00, ending on December 31, 23:59:59.
Year-1
Last year, starting on January 1, 00:00:00, ending on December 31, 23:59:59.
