Tax rate display

Tax Rates Display allows you to review the system's tax rates for tax areas covering the U.S. and Canada. Tax rates get displayed by level. If there's more than one district for a tax area, each district will appear on a separate line with its own tax rate. The total combined tax rate for the tax area's also displayed.
There are 3 different methods of searching for tax areas:
  • by tax area
  • by zip code
  • zip code + 4

Tax area

Searching by tax area allows you to use the authority levels to widen or narrow the scope of tax area selections for viewing. As you select authority level assignments, the population of data for the lists changes accordingly.
When a state's selected, the county and city lists default to All. Selecting a county will narrow the scope of cities to those cities within the selected county. Selecting a city will narrow the scope of counties to those counties containing the selected city. Once a county and city are selected the district list becomes available for selecting a district or combination of districts applicable for the city and county selections, if applicable. If there isn't a district within the city and county combination, the district selection will display
No District
to complete the tax area.
